Ghinwa and I crossed the border into Canada on Tuesday morning, leaving from Calais (pronounced "callous"), Maine. We meandered along the southern edge of New Brunswick, eventually ending up in Fundy National Park where we camped for the first time together (in fact, it was Ghinwa's first time camping ever!). We pitched the tent, reading the instructions in the fading light and crawling inside to eat our sandwiches slathered in baba ghanouj. We finally turned in for the night. The thick mist accumulated on the leaves overhead. When the wind blew, the water would fall down and slap the roof of our tent. I slept soundly (with the help of earplugs) but Ghinwa tossed and turned a bit. Still, we proclaimed our camping experience a success (since we actually DID it) and we're excited to do more very soon.
The other piece of BIG news is that Ghinwa got her visa to go to Europe! So we didn't call this blog Europe Double Moon for nothing!!
