Our last day in PEI was quite rainy, so we decided to do most of the driving back that day. The coastal drive was beautiful and we stopped in several little towns. We eventually made our way to Thorndike, Maine and stayed at a lovely place called Many Hands Farm. We were meant to camp there but it was raining so hard, the hosts, Nyla, John and their little boys, Jonah and Ara, insisted on having us stay in one of their cabins. We found this farm through airbnb and we highly recommend it for the ultimate airbnb experience. The hosts were very generous and sweet. They only had an outdoor shower, and I had to take a shower before bed. Quite an interesting experience, with half the water coming from the shower head and half from the sky!
The next day, after a delicious breakfast at the farm, we hiked in the Camden state park. One of the hike stops has a stunning view of the Penobscot bay.

I have only an outdoor shower on Cape Cod, and am familiar with the half-and-half phenomenon!
