Conversation between Ari & Ghinwa:
Ari: Hey, there's another really beautiful cathedral in town. Do you want to visit it?
Ghinwa: Nooooooooooooooo!
And so we decided to do as much outdoor stuff as we could as we made our way into Germany. We camped for 4 nights in a row, and we hiked in the Black Forest. That place is like something out of the Lord of the Rings. I half-expected gnomes or sprites to leap out from behind the mushrooms and the clovers. Instead we saw lots of tall Germans with walking sticks. Our favorite stretch was a path along a rocky, moss-coated gorge.
On another note... Ghinwa vowed before we started this trip that she wouldn't drive on any highways in Europe. She said she would only take the small roads. But in France, Ghinwa agreed to take a fast highway or two, and she revised her assertion, saying she would never drive on the autobahn in Germany. But as soon as we crossed the border, I told her we needed to get on it for a couple of miles. Ghinwa threw her conviction to the wind, and she took to the autobahn -- nervous at first but gleeful at last. And she ended up driving on the autobahn pretty much every day we were in Germany. :)

Sound: -- wzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz --
Ghinwa: What was that?!?
Ari: That's just a BMW that passed us on the Autobahn.
